Dhenkanal’s Laxmi Puja Blends Faith With Artistry

Dhenkanal’s Laxmi Puja dazzles with 41 artistic pandals, silver-adorned idols, and grand cultural performances blending devotion and creativity. With 18 platoons ensuring safety, the town shines as a symbol of Odisha’s rich heritage and festive unity.
Dhenkanal has transformed into a glittering hub as Laxmi Puja began with great enthusiasm. Across the town, 41 puja pandals have welcomed Goddess Laxmi, combining devotion with artistry.

Kanchan Bazaar marks its platinum jubilee with a culture-based theme and week-long musical nights. The highlight, however, is Ganesha Bazaar’s silver-adorned mandap, featuring nearly 275 kg of silver filigree work and a 1.2 kg silver throne, showcasing both artistic brilliance and divine devotion. Kaibalya and Laxmi Bazaar pandals have also decorated the idols with silver, adding to the festive grandeur.

From mythological themes and musical nights to vibrant Bhasani Yatra performances featuring artists from Visakhapatnam and Raipur, the celebrations reflect a seamless blend of faith, culture, and craftsmanship.

With 22 platoons of police deployed for security, Dhenkanal’s Laxmi Puja stands as a glowing reminder of Odisha’s heritage and unity, where every sparkle tells a story of devotion.
